MORE THAN JUST A STORE
Treasures Thrift is a store with a mission.
Did you know our journey started in a garage in 1981, right here in Castle Rock? In fact, our food pantry is named after the lady who started it all, “Mela’s Pantry”. Additionally, we are honored to have one of the original volunteers still with us today!
Whether you are looking for an amazing selection of books, CDs, DVDs, records, antiques, jewelry, toys, household goods, clothing, or seasonal items, we have it all! Every item is inspected by our dedicated team, and only the best quality items make it to the floor. It is not uncommon for new customers to walk around and say “Wow, I never even knew this place existed!” Yes! We are the best kept secret and known by locals as “a hidden gem”!
Through the continued support of our generous donors, savvy thrift shoppers, and dedicated volunteers our agency has continued to grow and thrive under our mission of meeting the needs of Douglas and Elbert County residents through their time of need…with dignity.
Our hope is that you leave us feeling good about shopping local!

Your Support Changes Lives
When you donate your gently used goods or shop in our store, you are partnering with a store on a mission to see our community become the best it can be! Treasures Thrift helps to fund the many resources our Client Services are able to offer to families and individuals in need. Last year alone we were able to serve nearly 20,000 people across Douglas County!
When you choose to volunteer on our team you are sharing precious time to help us fulfill our passion in serving our community. We love our volunteers and there are many ways for a person to volunteer. You can help in pricing, as a cashier, receiving donations and even more!
From Our Store Manager
My name is Jessie, and I have the privilege of managing the Treasures Thrift store, which supports the mission of the Help and Hope Center. Prior to taking the manager role in 2020, I was a client advocate, and saw in a very personal way, how critical this agency is to the lives of those in our community who are experiencing difficult challenges. Before that, I spent some time volunteering with Help and Hope Center. For those that may not know, the entire agency is supported by an army of passionate volunteers forming the bedrock upon which Help and Hope is built–and we are always looking for new volunteers by the way!
There are a few things that excite me about coming to work every day. I have the honor of leading an enthusiastic team of men and women who love to serve our customers and our community. I get to have a hand in curating the merchandise inside one of the best kept secrets in Castle Rock – Treasures Thrift. We try to make it feel like a boutique when you walk in. Whether you are looking for an amazing selection of books, CDs/DVDs/records, antiques, toys, household goods, clothing, seasonal items, and much more, we have it all! Every item is inspected by our team, and only the best quality items make it to the floor. It is not uncommon for new customers to walk around saying, “Wow, I never even knew this place existed!”
Lastly, I get to witness first hand the incredible ways in which the proceeds from our sales, get funneled right back into the community in which I live and work. I love this place, and I think you will too! I look forward to seeing all of you soon, new friends and customers, as well as our long time supporters. We couldn’t do it without you!
